Since Kovert was established over 30 years ago, the company has provided high-profile security dog patrols to a multitude of clients throughout London and the South East, including The London Eye, ExCEL London, British Airways, British Telecom and The Hampton Court Flower Show.
London is home to a vast range of international exhibition and conference centres. ExCEL - situated alongside London's Canary Wharf and London City Airport - hosts numerous sporting and entertainment events. Kovert Security patrols ExCEL to ensure the safety of both staff and the general public.
Kovert also have units protecting England's international airports including Manston in Kent.
Our team has been recruited exclusively from a Specialist Police Search Dog background, with some of our operatives being ex-military personnel. Our In-House Home Office Accredited Instructor ensures that all our explosives search dogs are trained using live training aids, and licensed in accordance with the strict standards set down for British Police Forces Specialist Search Dogs. Our dogs are also trained to find Commercial Explosives, Black Powder, Firearms and Ammunition.
Kovert leads the field in training canine units for the detection of explosives and narcotics, security and search recovery.
Kovert trains and advises many overseas clients and government bodies from concept to completion in the use of canine detection in the battle against terrorism.
Kovert have a specialist security capability used in high-profile venues such as railway stations, shopping centres, theatres, stadiums and airports.
Our dog teams have undergone extensive environmenal training, and are also trained in searching vehicle and pedestrian routes (urban and rural), vehicles, vessels and aircraft.Due to their career histories, our Training Team and our Operational Handlers operate under a regime of self discipline, however, they are also strongly supported and supervised by our Operations Manager, who has over 20 years experience as an operative and supervisor with a Police Specialist Operations Group. As a qualified Health and Safety Advisor he also ensures that all of Kovert's Search Operations are scrutinised, and that appropriate safety control measures are in place and documented for the client.
