7. Nick Graves – Explosives Search Dog Handler
Nick
joins the team bringing with him an immense amount of operational
experience and expertise.
With almost 20 years service as an Operational Police Patrol Dog Handler Nick is the archetypical “Career Dog Handler” who, despite qualifying for promotion some years ago, chose to stay faithful to his chosen career consisitently displaying success as a “Thief Taker with a Dog”.
Nick has trained countless German
As a keen sportsman, Nick’s competitive nature has never waned, and whenever Kent Dog Unit have been involved in Police Dog Trials, Nick has always been a sure bet as a qualifier, competing at Regional and National Level on numerous occasions, and more recently, coaching Kent Police Trials Qualifiers to the Nationals.
Nick has operated a highly successful drugs search dog for the past 10 years and as a man who accumulated 6 commendations and certificates as a Police Officer, he looks forward to his new challenge with Kovert as an Explosives Search Dog Handler.
